Editorial Policy
Our editorial standard is to make the basis of a recommendation understandable. Readers should be able to distinguish a documented fact, a manufacturer's claim and our interpretation.

Topic selection
We choose topics around decisions people face when buying or using consumer technology. Compatibility questions, confusing specifications, meaningful differences between products and common setup problems take priority over publishing a larger number of product names. Related articles are organized into topic groups so a reader can move from a basic explanation to a comparison or buying guide.
Coverage is selective. Inclusion does not mean every competing product was evaluated, and omission does not mean a product is poor. We aim to explain the scope of a shortlist rather than imply an exhaustive market survey.
Research and source evaluation
Primary sources are the starting point for factual claims: manufacturer specifications, support documents, operating manuals and standards organizations. The exact model, region and configuration matter. A specification for one variant should not be applied to an entire product family.
Manufacturer information can establish advertised features and supported functions. It cannot independently prove real-world performance, reliability or personal comfort. Marketing superlatives are not treated as measured results. When official documents conflict, we either explain the uncertainty or omit the disputed detail until it can be resolved.
Product comparisons and recommendations
We compare products around a stated use case, including compatibility, features, likely setup effort, limitations and cost considerations. Recommendations are editorial judgments drawn from the available evidence. They are not guarantees that a product will suit every reader.
Current prices and stock can change without notice. Unless a page explicitly identifies a verified price and date, readers should check the seller's current terms. We avoid invented savings, ratings, review totals, market rankings and artificial urgency. We do not publish numerical scores that lack a documented method.
Content creation and AI assistance
AI tools assist with organizing research, drafting, formatting and site production. This assistance is disclosed because it is part of how the publication is made. The publishing process includes checking important product claims against linked sources, keeping opinion distinct from fact and removing unsupported assertions.
Our subject-desk bylines identify areas of coverage. They do not represent invented individuals, qualifications or a claimed number of staff. First-person language must not suggest a product was purchased, held, worn or tested when that did not happen. At launch, the site's product evaluations are research-based.
Fact checking and limits
Before publication, the checks focus on model identity, stated compatibility, numerical specifications, link destinations, consistency between the article and source, and whether the conclusion follows from the evidence. We do not convert manufacturer battery estimates into our own observed runtimes or advertise a laboratory that does not exist.
Customer feedback may help identify questions worth investigating, but an anecdote is not proof of a widespread defect. We do not claim to have analyzed verified customer feedback unless that analysis has actually been performed and its scope can be explained.
Updates and corrections
Published and updated dates appear on articles. We review content when credible corrections, changed specifications, new compatibility information or material changes to a recommendation come to our attention. An updated date indicates a substantive review or edit, not continuous live verification of every price or retailer.
To report an error, use Contact Us, select a correction request and include the article URL, disputed passage and a supporting source where possible. Confirmed factual errors will be corrected. A material correction should explain what changed within the article; minor spelling and formatting fixes do not require a separate notice. We do not promise an immediate response to every submission.
Affiliate relationships and independence
Affiliate revenue may support the publication after enrollment in relevant programs. Payment eligibility does not determine whether a product is included or what limitations are discussed. Product links at launch are untagged manufacturer links. Any future sponsored placement must be clearly identified and must not be presented as an independent recommendation.
Manufacturers and retailers do not receive a right to purchase favorable conclusions. If a future article involves a loaned product, a free sample or another material relationship, that relationship must be disclosed on the relevant page. Read the Affiliate Disclosure for more detail.
